    Responsibilities

     

    The Public Relations Manager will have responsibility for the oversight of all Public Relations activities throughout the Asia-Pacific region (Southeast Asia, and Australia & New Zealand) and also directly manage the Public Relations function for Singapore. The Manager Public Relations is responsible for delivering significant and impactful editorial coverage (broadcast, print, digital, social) by implementing a regional & local Singapore PR strategy, which leverages both global assets and creates local brand appropriate opportunities.

     

    The role has oversight of the on-site execution of regional customer and press events across Asia-Pacific (and directly for Singapore) and requires a charismatic brand ambassador with a track record of cultivating strategic partnerships through endorsements with celebrities, influencers and brand integration. This individual will work cross-functionally with the global, regional and market teams to ensure successful event and press/media management, while delivering according to the Tiffany service standard and demonstrating inspirational leadership, both internally and externally. This role reports to the VP Marketing Asia Pacific and has one report PR Coordinator.

     

    Press/Media Management

    • Lead the local markets to plan, communicate and monitor press outreach programs and promotions/events which are aligned to central guidelines & deliver Singapore plans
    • Identify and develop new strategies to leverage evolving channels such as social media for each market.
    • Conceptualize innovative stories and media kits to support initiatives and maximize newsworthiness.
    • Generate press releases and interview responses as needed; assist in crisis management.
    • Develop relationship with regional level media owners to maximize press exposure in all channels.
    • Consolidate and report on key PR initiatives, including regional summary of monthly press clippings, key competitive activities and trends.

    Regional Event Management

    • Lead in the conception and implementation of PR, Press and Retail Events for the Region and for Singapore market; act as strategic consultant and key liaison between the Central PR division and the Asia-Pacific Region (Managing Directors, PR teams, and agencies) for the timely and brand-appropriate execution of all events.
    • Provide direction for all event execution; advise on and manage third-party suppliers where relevant.
    • Assess ROI (where relevant) and event effectiveness.
    • Create and manage annual regional events and press calendars.
    • Advocate and provide context for unique market/regional needs for Central fulfillment.
    • Regularly liaise with PR agencies in the region to ensure that they are appropriately informed and equipped to progress the company's business needs in their region; meet with all agencies annually to review.

    Strategic Planning

    • Participate in regional level strategic planning; collaborate with regional Marketing Vice President, Merchandising Director, Creative Visual Merchandising, and other functions to facilitate integration between PR and other key disciplines.
    • Support seamless execution of holistic communications programs, while managing the corresponding budgets. Manage directly the Singapore PR budget
    • Support the implementation of strategies and ensure that regional initiatives are in line with global PR strategic brand directives.
    • Cultivate strong collaborative relationships with both the global PR team and the local markets (TCO & agencies) to deliver best in class press/media coverage.
    • Disseminate important information and directives to all key colleagues and contacts in a timely fashion; provide strategic direction and oversight.

    Leadership

    • Represent self as a leader for the Asia-Pacific regional team and other divisions in which this position will interact.
    • Lead through example with clear and transparent communications, promoting ideas and recommendations, and supporting teamwork by building trust and transparency with colleagues and business partners

     

    Qualifications

     

    Required:

     

    • University graduate
    • 8+ years of 360 Public Relations experience and proven success, preferably in luxury jewelry or fashion brand
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Experience with digital public relations
    • Understanding (sensitivity) of global cultures, traditions and consumer mind set
    • Experience working at a regional level with multi-country oversight.
    • Strong press relations with fashion, luxury and jewelry media outlets, in the Asia-Pacific region and specifically Singapore market.
    • Exceptional creative thinking to innovate and develop compelling press stories and angles.
    • Strategic thinker delivering on short term goals while building upon long range plans.
    • Goal oriented, able to implement strategic vision and deliver real results.
    • An inspiring leader and a team player to collaborate with other key department heads, regional and central teams.
    • Poised to represent the brand; exude positive energy and can do attitude.
    • Passion for jewelry, design, culture, art and all things beautiful.

    Preferred:

    • Good command of spoken and written Mandarin.
