  • Overview

    To build on the research and development of product & service related training programs developed by Global Education, localize, manage and deliver region-specific programs to secure the sound product knowledge of the entire sales population.  Also, the Training Manager also responsible for upholding consistency of the Global messaging around retail product communications and training materials for both new and existing products, taking into consideration specific regional needs. 


    The Manager will also
    lead in-person and remote training sessions regionally, and as necessary including for new stores.

     

    Responsibilities

    Program / Content

    • Design and Develop a comprehensive and region-specific training content and program structure, complete with assessment system and coaching program to secure sound product knowledge of entire store population.
    • Work closely with local market Training Managers to ensure that sales population deliver product knowledge in a way that is tailored to customers needs in order to fulfill the company’s strategic direction to elevate the Client Experience.
    • Work closely with Global Education to customize and localize product training or walk-throughs required for special events, targeted at office staff as well as store staff.
    • Further research and regional needs analysis: Collaborate with Global Education and regional cross functional teams to determine appropriate training deliverables and establish work flow to best meet the needs of the organization while adhering to the product lifecycle and event calendar.
    • Partner with Global Education to continuously ensure product related digital content is current, regionally accessible, on message and accurately translated.

    Program Delivery and Facilitation  

    • Determine appropriate training methodology for regional distribution of content. Partner with local market Training Managers to create deliverables that include instructor led training and coaching.  Deliver Train-the-Trainer sessions to support local market Training Managers delivery of program as well as provide additional support to them as necessary.
    • Act as product expert at key events as necessary including customer facing selling events.

    Qualifications

    • 5-7 years retail/training experience with a jewelry background
    • Bachelor’s degree
    • Gemological Graduate is a must
    • Strong facilitation skills
    • Excellent communication/writing skills, proficient in Cantonese, Mandarin, and English
    • Ability to collaborate with variety of business partners
    • Strong Project Management skills, excellent time management skills and adherence to urgency of time sensitive deadlines.
    • Comprehension of adult learning styles and Instructional design will be an advantage
    • About 30% Business travel within the region and weekend travel maybe required if needed.
